Chapter 56: Underneath the Pressure

"Are you really sure that we should be doing this?" I asked to Sage in hesitation. We were inside her bedroom and just waiting out for her parents to get to sleep before we embarked outside for Primrose's party. We were already dressed in our outfits; cladded with my leather jacket while Sage was wearing her bomber. I heard it was a party to welcome the winter so it was appropriate to wear thick clothes even though the cold wasn't affecting our warm bodies.

Sage enfolded me with one of her arms, the other raised her Polaroid camera in front of us. Smiling uneasily as I looked at its lens, she clicked the capture button and the flash almost blinded my eyes due to its brightness. I blinked uneasily, then I watched as my mate pulled out the photo and shaking it in excitement.

"C'mon, when was the last time you had a party? We even skipped the homecoming. After everything, I think we deserve some fun, don't you think?" she said, her focus was on the piece of glossy paper though.
