Chapter 24

Blake's POV

"Whatever, excuse me while I go to the bathroom," Camela said and walked away.

"Well, that was awkward," Uncle Charles said

Why did I say that, knowing that Camela was from the same side of town? I didn't mean to offend her; I was just being honest. I didn't believe that a hotel would do good on that side because people rarely visited. I am sure anyone who vacationed here wouldn't choose a hotel on that side of town.

That side of town had the worst crime. The houses were run down, and the streets were unkept. I was mad when I found out that Camela lived on that side of town. I am so happy that I got her out of there.

"How much do they want me to invest?" I asked

"Quarter million dollars," Uncle Charles said

"That is way too much. Tell your friend that they will have to lessen the amount," I said

Camela came back to the table and sat down. I looked over at Camela and saw her upset with me for my words.
