Joshua woke up and went to take a bath. He then went out to look for Shawn but couldn’t find him and only found Aldridge who was outside reading documents.
Aldridge looked at him and said, “Good morning.”
Joshua smiled at him, “Good morning.”
“Did you sleep well?” Aldridge asked him as he stacked the documents together in a box then handed it over to a servant.
“Well thank you, the bed is comfortable,” Joshua said and took a sip of his tea.
“Shawn isn’t here so don’t bother looking for him,” Aldridge said, sipping on tea.
Joshua frowned, “Does he usually just get up and leave?”

Aldridge woke up feeling rejuvenated after his long night with Shawn. Joshua climbed out of the carriage and looked at the estate in which he used to live. The air around the estate had changed and so did the smell in the air. He cleared his throat as he looked at George who jumped down and straightened himself out. “When do you think we’ll be released?” He asked George. George looked at him briefly and said, “I do not know but knowing your father, we’ll get locked up soon.” Joshua chuckled and walked on ahead of him, “I don’t think my father will want to see you.” George nodded his head and disappeared to make sure the estate grounds were clear. The doors opened and out rushed his mother, “Joshua darling, you got my message?!” She yelled and hugged him.

Shawn stared at him and could see that Joshua’s pride had taken over once again. Shawn licked his tongue across his test trying to hide his anger, “So why the sudden change?” Joshua looked up at him and said, “Well, it just makes my skin crawl that you and Aldridge can live in that kind of relationship where you would willingly add a third person to your relationship. Shawn, I think you know this but with my father giving me everything back, I actually do not need Aldridge’s charity nor do I need you in my life to help me raise this child.” Shawn scoffed and said, “You better choose your words wisely after this.”
