Chapter Thirteen
Chris stormed through the small woods, circling the packland, aware Adam was tailing him at a distance. He was thankful Jaxson wasn’t there too. He knew he’d messed up, knew he was being reckless and stupid. He just didn’t know what else to do!
He was so lost, he was alone, he had no-one to talk to. He had no-one to offload. He couldn’t tell anyone! Even Trey. There was nowhere he could turn.

Jaxson rubbed his head, shoving his fingers through his slightly too long hair. He didn’t think anything could have gone worse. Gamma Trey had looked ready to cave his skull in after talking to Chris. He felt a traitor even though there was no way it could be his fault. He hadn’t told anyone. Chris sprinted through the forest on four legs, it was much faster progress as a wolf. He knew from his tour where the guards patrolled the border to unclaimed territory and easily slipped through undetected. He kept running as he worked out where was best to go. Chris was beginning to relax with the people around him, the music was starting to not appear as loud as it first had, and the topics of conversation were far from anything he’d experienced before.Sex seemed on the forefront of the group’s mind, that and ‘their rights’.
