"Only if it could erase people's memories about their past," Four said with a small shake of her head, though she was grinning. "I doubt they know who she really is,"

At the beginning, they had been quiet, perfectly complaint, until Mom suddenly brought up the idea of Nine spending alone time with her 'sisters'. Of course, she knew they were probably sent to threaten her, or remind her of where she really came from. And they were doing just that.
