With Love -Sunshine<3
|Princess Zoey's Point Of View| I walk out of the room, fuming in anger. I've never felt this mad toward my parents, especially my father. I know I am acting stubborn, but I believe I have ownership of the throne after him. "I will prove myself, prove him wrong and let him know how responsible I can be. No. I will plan treason against him. I will steal the throne." I say as I walk to my room. "Calm down, your highness. You aren't saying these words with your heart, but out of anger." maid Pamela tries to calm me down. But I am far from that. "How can I stay calm, huh? I know I acted stubborn, and he's worried about me as a father, but it's so unfair that he's unwilling to give me a chance! But willing to give a stranger a chance! This is something he can easily give me! A-and thinking about that shithead Prince Patrick, it boils me inside! I had to go through all that because of my parents as well. So this is my turn to do what I want." I express. I open the door to my room and wa
|Princess Zoey's Point Of View| I unlock Micah’s cell and ask him to come out. He hesitates but eventually does. Pamela looks at me as if I've grown a horn, but she doesn't speak up. I hold Micah's shoulders and make him look at me. "Listen. Once you step out of this cell and show yourself to everyone in the palace, you are off to have your own fight. I can't do that for you, but you can do it for yourself. I will be there, but I want you to claim pride and dignity for yourself, so there won't be a single person talking behind your back. So, are you up for it?" I ask. "I- I think so," he says. "Okay, then let's go." When we walk out of the door, the guards look bewildered, but they make no comment. So we walk upstairs without an issue. Once we are out of the underground dungeon door, whispers spread out like wildfire. "Pamela, get him a new room. I am going to finish off what I've started. I'll be busy." I say as we part in different directions. Micah looks at me and walks in the
|Princess Zoey's Point Of View| Micah and I meet (one day later) at the palace library. Arriving there, I ask Pamela not to let anyone enter till we find all the information we want. As we walk inside, the rusty smell of books surrounds us in a calming manner. Micah breathes in, and his eyes literally shine, seeing and smelling all the books. Damn. Man can fall in love with books sooner than with me. "This- this place is so perfect," he exclaims. "Uh-huh. All the world's books lie here. I bet this is going to be your favourite place?" I ask. "Yeah, but am I allowed to wander around and come here?" he asks with hopeful eyes. "When I get you a guard." "Oh... but I don't need one and don't want to trouble you. I can look after myself." "Silly." I roll my eyes. "You know nothing about the palace. This is a place where tons of secrets, dirty works and mysterious deaths lie. It's unsafe for every single person who lives here." I explain. "I thought it was the opposite," he admits.
|Micah’s Point Of View| There is a knock on the door, and I walk to see who it is. I open it to find maid Pamela there, looking like she had worked all day. "Princess Zoey is expecting you," she says. "I thought Princess was busy," I say. "She is. She was. For the last three days. She had several meetings with some officers, and they were a mess." "Messy... as in?" She sighs, "It's weird and unfair, alright? The officers didn't take her seriously. She's a royal, yeah, a princess, yeah, but you get it... It's all about class and rank in this world." "God. How bad was it?" I ask, quickly taking out the door's key and walking out with her. I lock the door from outside. "So bad... Whatever Princess said, they had something against it. Her highness was trying to discuss about the shortage of clean water in two districts, but the officers were saying this and that on how it's only a small issue." "What bullshit," I mumble. "Exactly. It was quite a war zone. There wasn't anyone to t
|Micah’s Point Of View| "It's been a while since I stepped out of the palace." Princess Zoey exclaims as soon as our feet touch the outside ground of the palace. "I could say the same. It's been a while." I reply. She looks at me and smiles. "Any idea where we can grab a horse?" she asks. "We can borrow one from a stable." "Oah, okay. Then lead the way." So I lead the way. Though I am unfamiliar with the surroundings, since it isn't my village, I know just where to find what I want. Because I've been to many districts, I have an idea. After walking around half a mile, we find a stable. I ask Princess to stay outside and I go inside with a few bronze coins. I talk with the owner and ask for two horses. He immediately asks his worker to release two after I make the payment. I meet Princess outside with the two horses after a few minutes. "That was soon," she comments. "I know magic." I make a proud comment about myself. "Of course you do." she chooses a horse and pats its back.
|Princess Zoey’s Point Of View| I giggle to myself as I calculate the last few numbers. I add them up and look at the next numbers, blushing instantly. Pamela sighs deeply as if she's tired of something. So I look at her only to find her already staring at me. "Anything in my face?" I ask, puzzled. "Thinking about that baker boy, twenty-four hours. That's something to be concerned about." she sighs. "Your highness should concentrate on work for now because you just missed a number here." she points out. "Oh..." I quickly add that number. "Micah is getting into my head. He's running in my head all the time." I shake my head, muttering the words. "I can see that. I bet now your highness knows what it ACTUALLY feels like to fall for someone." she smiles. "Fall for someone... Have I?" I ask, keeping my writing brush aside. "Obviously. I didn’t see your highness being like this when you were with... Prince Patrick." she chuckles. "Good riddance." "Shit. I almost forgot I had an ex l
|Princess Zoey’s Point Of View| Micah and I leave from the back gate of the palace, and I am wearing commoner clothes similar to his. We have a clothes bag in our hands and a bunch of bronze coins with us. It's really early in the morning, so it's cold outside. I suggest to Micah that we get a lift from someone who goes on a cart, or else the journey on horseback would be tiring. He takes my request to heart and somehow manages to lure an older man for a ride in exchange for some coins. So we get on the cart, which has only a tiny space as he's delivering some goods. We jam in together and sit so close. I have never been on a cart (only carriages). So I hold on to Micah as if my life depends on it, or else I would fly out of the cart. He chuckles at my actions and hugs me back securely so that I relax and fall asleep in no time. I only wake up when we are near our destination. And I am hungry! I tug at Micah's sleeves and admit that I am hungry. He takes out some food from the bag
|Princess Zoey’s Point Of View| It turns out to be better than I thought. Micah's mother and I talk till it's time for lunch, and Micah and his father come right on time. We have lunch together, talking about this and that, and I feel myself warming up to them. Since we have a few hours after lunch, Micah takes me outside. He doesn't take me to the village because it won't be good to be seen by other people as he's supposed to be a prisoner. So he takes me to the nearby forest that is so out of my taste, but after walking a bit, I start loving how new it feels. I thought it would only be walking around, but my eyes shine when I see a waterfall ahead of us. "We can't swim, but we can sit here." he clears out a small rock for me and ask me to sit down. He sits beside me, and we enjoy the water for a while. "You never swim here?" I ask. "I do. The current is bad today. See, the water turns into mist there, and fish have gathered by that calm area." he points out, and I see a bunch o
