Chapter 26 – Happy Hunting

Mia had just watched the intruders ship take off with its injured. Ryder looked like a kid in a lolly shop in that cockpit. He had ensured that all the passengers were strapped in tight. I would not envy them right now. She had retrieved both of Jays guns and his vest.

She had been asked to do the gorge run, since it had been missed because of the attack. She would take Mac’s place since he was on the ship that just tore out of here.

She hadn’t eaten anything since Jay’s snack bar in the cupboard, as the memory came back a twinge of desire hit her core, being in that cupboard with Jay had really played with her body in a way she couldn’t explain. Food, she thought, so she headed to the mess hall. She would need something good but light if she was about to run for 3 hours.
