21. Remy was finding friends

Another week had passed. I was unemployed as expected. Jed had thrown me out of his apartment after he fired me the second I decided to break up with him. He told me that I was an ungrateful man, he lectured me, yapping his mouth while I tuned out his words and packed the little stuff I have with me into my trustee duffle bag.

Jed was adamant that we should stay together, but I know he just wanted to milk the Daniels with the pictures and I was done with it. So the day I found a cheap affordable apartment with decent heating, I paid and decided to move in that same day.

I couldn't even go to my best friend Marx, since apparently, Jed decided to make him his next target. Yep, the man was truly pissed off with me. Marx was over the moon when Jed started to flirt with him and my best friend didn't even flinch when I warned him about Jed. He told me that it was his time and that I shouldn't get jealous of his happiness.

Marx's words hurt more than I had anticipated
