I brought two fingers to my temple and began messaging in small circles to alleviate the building tension. Only a few hours remained until sunrise and yet everyone still bickered about the rules and guidelines of the treaty. Quade, Lilith, and I gave our input where we could but the rest was left up to Julian, Sydney, and Tania to sort out. They constantly argued like children, never coming to a single agreement. Sometimes I felt they did things just to spite one another. If they couldn't agree on anything it worried me. Our fate lay in their hands and, right now, it didn't seem like very capable hands.

I was grateful they went along with my idea and no one tried to protest it. Julian had a right to have his reservations but I appreciated Quade having my back.
