Chapter 60

Alexis pov

So the guys made a bunch of promises I will have to see if they keep them. We got home after the kid's bedtime and I head for my library to write and add more chapters to my book so I can decompress and be alone. I hear a soft knock but don't acknowledge it cause I'm deep into my chapter and I want to get this out while it is still fresh.

"hey baby",I hear

"hmmm",I don't look up as Steven sits down and places gifts on my desk and he looks sad. Steven was always a man of few words and he gave gifts as his way of apologizing which I find cute.

"I got this for you I hope you like it. I know I don't voice my feelings well and I'm trying but this is the only way I know to say sorry",he looks uncomfortable and worried.

I grab the gift bags and open the first it is a dress I wanted with matching shoes. The second was the perfume and lotion I loved and the third was a card with a necklace of a dolphin my favorite. I tool out the card carefully and read it. When I say this man cou
