I had been tracking Rayne for weeks now, in case she was using her powers unknowingly again. She could do some real damage to herself, and possibly others, being untrained. I made it my personal business to keep track of her unsolicited magic usage. Hell, her whole life was my personal business anyway, so why not?

She had access to a plethora of powers that she really had no idea about, and any of those powers could start to form at any time. She already was using fireballs and dreamwalking. What would be next? I was determined to keep her safe no matter the cost.

Everything had been calm the last little while. I assumed that Alpha Drake being out of town multiple times in the past few weeks, definitely helped. Unfortunately, he had returned a day or so ago, and I had been waiting for her to just snap again.

He undoubtedly would not leave her alone, I was sure of it. He made it very clear to me by his actions that he wanted to make her Luna of The Obsidian pack
