Chapter 13 The bottom limit

Natalie’s POV

“What the hell are you doing?” Adam growled from behind, and that made me turn around and look at him in shock. Didn’t he leave with Lexie to take her to the hospital?

“I asked you something!” he growled at me and gave me a hard look like he would strangle me right now, because he must know for sure that I was investigating Lexie’s background by talking with this alpha.

But you know what? I don’t care about his opinion. It is the most normal thing I could do , to find what Lexie is hiding, so wrapping my arms under my chest I look into his eyes, and for the first time you could say that he really saw me, because his gaze becomes unfocused and he looks at my dress and at my make-up and he is even more furious right now.

“Are you finished?” I simply ask him, avoiding to answer him, because I don't deserve to be treated like that.

“You are leaving” he commands me, and he sneaks a new peek at me, but he motioned to me to move as if he didn’t see how sexy I am.

“Pardon me?”
