“Nat…” Judy said as soon as they were back in the Red Blood Pack, in Natalie’s room, but feeling her stress, Natalie motioned to her to come and sit with her in her bed.

“What happened to the restaurant, Judy?” she asked her directly, remembering that she heard Judy whispering a soft ”mate!” when she saw Evan.

BUt Judy just looked at her. How to tell her that her fated mate loves her, Natalie Hawkins, and not his fated mate? Natalie has no fault here and it is only Evan who makes things difficult.

“If he hurt you, if Evan did something to you…” Natalie said and her heart beat rapidly. If Evan hurt Judy, there is no need for them to work together. She will find other allies, but before she could make an assumption, Judy said.

“What?” and Judy gave her a soft smile. “No, Natalie, we are fated mates but things are complicated and before we could make a decision we agreed to stay just the way we are right now.”
