**Crimson's POV**

“Are you insane?” Beta Xavier asked, glaring at me. The elders started murmuring among themselves.

“I'd appreciate it if you speak to me respectfully. I am the Alpha's daughter, soon to be Luna, and I could get you beheaded this instant, so accept your fate and step down from my throne.” My voice was firm and held authority. Something that the past me wouldn't dare to do in a million years.

“What prompted you to say such a thing, my dear?” The eldest among the elders and my personal favorite asked. Elder Blake was the only person who understood my parents and me. After their death, his encouraging words and parental love was the only thing that made me get over them and as a result, I respected him. Also, he wasn't as selfish as the beta and the remaining Elders, who were only after money and not the truth.

“Nothing prompted me, Elder Blake.” I smiled at him.

“Then what is the meaning of this? We all agreed that you'd become Luna after you get married.” Another Elder snapped at me.

“I am ready to take over my father's throne. I'll get married after that.” I replied.

“That's impossible!” One of the elders sprung up. “You're still a child. What in the world do you know about being a ruler?”

“Sit down, Elder Matt!” I ordered.

The elders gasped. Elder Matt looked at me, shocked a bit.

“I wouldn't like to repeat myself again. Sit down now!” I ordered authoritatively, my wolf rising to the surface but I held her in.

When he saw how serious I was, he cleared his throat and sat down. My wolf was an Alpha wolf, just like my parent's, but I haven't been able to use it due to the kind of personality I had. I could compel whoever I wanted into doing what I ordered, after all, I am the heiress to the throne.

“Crimson, go back to your apartment.” Beta Xavier ordered.

“Actually, I'm moving into the palace. It is where I rightfully belong. I don't have the time to argue or batter words with you. You're stepping down from this throne tonight. I'm 18 already, so you have no right to sit down there.” I snickered.

They all stared in shock, wondering where and how I got this courage.

“Beta Xavier, the Alpha did say that you could step down whenever she asked you to. If she thinks she is ready, then she truly is.” Elder Blake sighed.

“What are you talking about, Blake? She is a child and can't rule over us.” Beta Xavier argued.

“A child wouldn't display what she just did. A child doesn't know what rightfully is his or hers. She has come to take what's truly hers, so give it to her.” Elder Blake said.

“Do you want her to rub this pack in the mud?” An elder snapped before turning to face me. “What is your problem? Do you think you could do anything you want because the pack is named after you?” He snapped.

“The pack being named after me isn't the issue here. The issue here is that you all are disrespecting me by arguing over what is rightfully mine.” I snapped.

“Crimson, give us some time to discuss. We will get back to you.” Another Elder said.

“Let's say whatever we want to here. I am going nowhere. Didn't you hear me when I said I'm ascending the throne tonight?” I asked rhetorically.

“Crimson! Stop throwing a tantrum over what you cannot do. You can't rule.” Beta Xavier said.

“I can rule better than you do, Beta Xavier. So, just step down and let me prove you wrong.” I smirked.

“Crimson, you cannot—”

“Don't plead with me, beta Xavier because I won't sit and let you destroy my pack. Now, step down like the good wolf you are,” I smiled and clapped my hands. The maids ran into the throne room. I faced them, “Tonight is my coronation, ladies. I want you all to decorate the palace to my taste. Your beta would be stepping down, while I'll emerge as Luna,” They looked shocked but bowed and ran out to do as I asked.

“Crimso—”

“Guards!” I called and they ran to meet me. “Spread the word. Tell the pack members to be in the palace today that Beta Xavier is stepping down, and I am becoming Luna. Now, hurry. I'm sure my subjects would be dying to see me rule them,” I chuckled.

I turned to look at the elders. Elder Blake smiled at me and I returned it. Beta Xavier and the remaining ideas glared daggers at me and boy, if eyes were bullets, I'd be dead.

Well, I just made fresh enemies, but no backing down now because I'll make them all pay for everything they've done. Most of them duped my father while he was still alive, and Beta Xavier had been embezzling funds and stealing my father's gold for himself ever since he started sitting on the throne. No one is getting spared.

“Wear your best robes, Elders, and get ready for my coronation.” I chuckled again.

*********

“All hail the Luna!” The pack members bowed as Elder Blake placed the golden crown on my head and gave me the Scepter my mother once used. Their cheers became louder when I sat down on the throne.

It wasn't easy making Beta Xavier step down, but I wasn't bothered because I knew there were going to be stumbling blocks when I chose this path and made this decision.

I turned and saw Alexis standing with Damon, looking at me with confused expressions on their faces.

“Don't worry, guys. It'll soon become clear once I start dealing with you.” I muttered under my breath.

“You have to choose your beta now, Luna.” Elder Blake bowed.

“She can't select. I am still the beta of this pack.” Xavier said.

“Not anymore. I'll pick another beta, but not now. There are a few bad eggs I have to clear out first.” When I said that, my eyes locked with that of Tyler and that feeling came again. I had the sudden urge to make him the beta, but waved it over. Come on, I hate this person. I quickly looked away from him.

“Are you impeaching me?” Beta Xavier yelled.

“Don't you dare raise your voice at me, Xavier!” I hit my Scepter on the ground and everyone gasped.

“I am supposed to yell, Crimson. What the fuck do you think you're doing?” He snapped.

I stood up and went to stand in front of him. If he doesn't know how to show respect, I'll teach him.

“I see you still haven't acknowledged that I am the Luna of this pack. Even when the whole pack bowed to me, you stood and did nothing. Now, I'll make you do what is necessary,” I smirked, and he arched his eyebrows in confusion. Everyone watched to see what I'll do.

“Get on your knees and bow to me, Xavier.”
