Scarlett's POV

The guard nodded, his expression a mix of pain and determination. "Yes, they took refuge in the hidden chambers beneath the main hall. The attackers haven't discovered it yet. I can take you there."

Relief washed over me at the prospect of the remaining Elders being safe, at least for the moment. We needed their guidance and leadership now more than ever.

Freda nodded, her gaze filled with gratitude. "Lead the way. We'll protect you."
