Another bang on the door,

"Logan?" Sam calls again.

"Yeah, coming, just a sec," I shout back and wait for the sound of his footsteps to disappear down the hall before returning the phone to my ear.

"Pauline? Are you still there?"

"Yes, Logan," I sigh with relief at her words, "you have to go now, think about what I said, you could be alpha."

"Wait, what?"

"I have a plan, but I need your help, we need you, you are the key to our success,"

"I'm listening," my interest peaked. I listen intently, and when she's done explaining, she simply says,

"Think about it, see you soon my love." And with that, the call ends. I stand motionless for a minute, processing everything, my emotions mixing with each other and leaving me with only confusion. Knowing me so well, a text appears on my phone,

: You submit to no one, my alpha.

Her words clear the fog of my mind, I now know what needs to be done, what needs to happen and what I must do. I reply with three little words,
