Heading Into The Forest

Richard’s POV:

It had begun.

At hearing Arielle’s voice through the mind link, I knew it was only a matter of time.

I visibly tensed, and raised my head up form where I was seated at my desk to meet the eyes of my Beta.

He caught the look on my face, but before he could ask what was wrong, I told him.

“The plan has started. Get the warriors into position,” I said to Darren in a commanding tone of an Alpha, standing up. The paperwork could wait. Now, I had to make preparations myself.

Darren looked confused, although he nodded, standing up front he couch he was seated on.

“I’ll send the word out,” He responded in obedience, before he posed the question I was sure had been churning in his mind for quite some time. “How do you know the plan had begun? This is quite early Richard.”

I paused, wondering if I should tell him the truth for a moment.
