Third POV.

Leila’s question had hurt Aiden so much. He had hoped that she would believe him. Have trusted in him entirely as if her life depended on that but sadly, he was mistaken. What he hoped for turned out to be his wishful thinking and a dream.

“Leila, please believe me. You will always be the only one in my heart, not her or any other woman,” he said as he looked at her deep in her eyes.

Seeing the hurt and hopeful emotions in his eyes, Leila broke eye contact and looked to the side before looking back at him.

“Why should I believe you? Huh? Give me one reason for that,” she said with no emotions.

“You should believe me 'cause you are my mate! My soulmate, you should,” he said, making Leila roll her eyes at his stupid answers.

What she had gone through had opened her eyes so how could she believe such words from a man she barely knew? What if she gets hurt again, plotted against or something happens to her loved ones?
