BLOOM’S POV

This was bad. He shouldn’t have caught me here. What should I do? What should I say? Those thoughts ran through my head even as I tried to keep the panic I felt from showing on my face.

“I said, what the fuck are you doing in my room?” He growled, and I rolled my eyes. Turned out I didn’t need an excuse, I just had to reciprocate his attitude.

“I heard you the first time.”

A frown appeared on his face. “Then answer the damn question.”

There was no need to argue with him, I realized, I should just thank him and be out of his hair, possibly evading the question of what the fuck I had been doing in his room.

Tilting my head at him, I said, “Thank you.” Keeping it short and simple was key.

I could tell that he was surprised by the way he slightly moved back. “You’re thanking me? For what?” he asked, and I took a few seconds to think. Did he really tell Tina to make me healthier meals? Or did she lie?
