Forty-seven

The next morning, Aria woke up feeling weak. She struggled out of bed and cleaned herself up. Then she went down to the dining where she was sure Camille was going to be.

There was no sign of the other woman, Lana. Aria felt a form of relief knowing that Lana wasn't there. The woman was strange and she kept creeping her out.

The moment Camille set her eyes on Aria, she gasped. Camille had been busy with spreading jam on the slice of bread she had been holding. She dropped it immediately and rushed to Aria's side.

"Oh my words, look at you. Are you okay? What happened? Did Damien do something to you?" Camille exploded Aria with questions as she placed warm hands on Aria's cheeks.

Aria only stared at her for a while before finally speaking. "I— I am okay. There's nothing wrong. I'm just tired," Aria defended.

Camille looked at her with corked brows. It was very obvious that Camille did not buy her story.
