“Bad luck. At least you know that much,” Mabel commented and walked further into the room.

“Excuse us,” Camille ordered Elisa, who obeyed immediately and shut the door behind her as she left.

Damien stood up from the bed and faced Mabel. Camille also didn't want to interfere, so she excused the both of them. It was best Damien handled the situation anyway.

“You had better come up with an excellent excuse for what I'm seeing, because I know you are going to speak of how old fashioned and overly sensitive I am. I'm all ears,” Mabel spewed in a tone that screamed sarcasm.
