# Chapter 14 The Ambush

Alpha Alexander’s POV

Jaxon’s heart sank as he watched his mate collapse into his arms. Her body was limp, and she wasn’t breathing. He held her close to his chest, desperate to feel any sign of life from her.

“Come on, love, please,” he whispered, tears streaming down his face. He tried to breathe life back into her, but nothing was working.

“Jaxon, you have to shift and bite her. It’s the only way to save her life,” she instructed.
