I was just arriving home when I heard the unwanted news from Franklin, who told me to be on my way to a certain pack. I wasn't happy with the fact that he was trying to use his power and position over me, but I knew that I would have to accept it nonetheless. I knew that there was nothing I could do about it other than to sulk about it. He said that I needed to see something urgently, and I knew that I would have to go. It was late already, but I knew we could still head back to the pack.

I knew that I would have to find ways to do this. I told Cynthia, who seems to have been behaving grumpily since we got back from Franklin's pack, that I knew that must have been because I had decided to side with a killer. I knew that if I was also the one, I would also be angry, and I knew there was nothing I could do about that. I knew that it would only take her a while to realize where she was wrong, and I also knew that it might be impossible for her not to get together with Cassandra.
