Chapter Sixty-One

Amante POV

Something dreary about the mysterious tree made me pause because of the uncertainty of my condition and fear in my mind. It’s that kind of difficulty or impossibility to understand, explain, or even identify a certain phenomenon or a thing that happens, especially one of great importance.

I only took a step inside the trunk of the tree, and I already know I ended somewhere in a different realm. The surroundings were pitch black. There does not seem to have a sky, for I saw nothing but darkness, no moon, or stars, not even clouds. It seemed like an endless vast of blackness. Only the tiny, faint light coming from the little fireflies lends a source of brightness to the place.

The smell of tobacco polluted the atmosphere, like it was the very air I breathe. There were extremely large trees that seemed outlined in perfect angles with enormous branches hanging out and formed like big open summer umbrellas
