Laura was In a deep thought, she was thinking of how to help Clifton to fix his life and get back to the normal track of high standard of living, but she doesn't know how to go about Clifton's problems,

Laura approached her boss and mentioned that her friend Clifton was searching for a job, "My friend Clifton is an excellent candidate, and I believe he would be a valuable addition to the company," Laura shared with her boss.

Her boss responded, "Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Laura. I know a few people who are hiring, and I'd be happy to put in a good word for him."

Laura was elated, "That would be incredible! Thank you so much."

A few days later, Laura received a call from her boss, "Hi Laura, I spoke to one of my friends, and they're interested in Clifton's profile. Can you ask him to send his CV over?"

Laura was thrilled, "Absolutely! Thank you so much for your help."

After Clifton shared his CV with Laura, she forwarded it to her boss who promised to pass it along to his friend. A week later, Laura received another call from her boss. "Hey, Laura, I've got good news! Clifton's CV stood out, and he's been invited for an interview," her boss informed her.

Laura couldn't contain her happiness, "That's fantastic news! Thank you so much for all your help, boss."

Her boss chuckled, "It's my pleasure, Laura. I'm always happy to help where I can."

Finally, Clifton aced the interview and was offered the job. Laura and her boss were both thrilled with the outcome. It was another successful collaboration between the two colleagues, and it further strengthened their already great working relationship.

"I understand if you don't feel the same way, Laura. I just had to tell you how I feel. You're smart, beautiful, and I enjoy spending time with you. I've been holding this in for too long," Clifton explained, his eyes flickering with vulnerability.

Laura melted a little inside. His sincerity touched her heart. "I appreciate your honesty, Clifton, but I don't want to lead you on. I care for you, but I'm not sure if it's love yet."

"I understand. I don't want to pressures you, Laura. I just wanted to be truthful with you and see where it goes," Clifton said, smiling at her.

A silence fell between them for a moment until Laura broke it. "How about we take things slow and see where our connection leads us? We can go on a proper date and see where it takes us." Laura said,

Clifton smiled, feeling her heart warm up to Laura even more. "I'd like that," he replied.

After that conversation, things between Clifton and Laura shifted. They began dating, going on romantic walks, and trying out new restaurants. Their relationship blossomed, and they both knew they were falling for each other.

Clifton was grateful for Laura's boss, who gave him a second chance at his job. He was also thankful for Laura, who had become an integral part of his life. He appreciated her for her kindness, intelligence, and the way she encouraged him to be his best self.

As the months went by, Clifton knew for certain that he was in love with Laura. He couldn't imagine his life without her. One evening, he took her out for dinner at a fancy restaurant. They talked and laughed and had a great time.

As they were walking out of the restaurant, Clifton stopped Laura and took her hands in his. "Laura, I have something to ask you," he said, nervousness creeping into his voice.

Laura looked up at him, her eyes shining with curiosity.

"From the moment I met you, I knew there was something special about you. You've become my best friend, my confidante, and the love of my life. You make me feel alive and loved in ways I never thought possible. Laura, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?"

Laura gasped, tears welling up in her eyes. "Yes, Clifton, I'll marry you," she said, throwing her arms around him.

They kissed, and the stars shone brighter in the sky. Clifton was grateful for Laura's boss, who not only gave him another chance at his job but gave him financial strength to be bold enough to approach the love of his life. He appreciated Laura, who had become the light in his life, and was thankful for finding his second chance at love,

A few months later, Clifton bought a car, and he drives around on Saturday, his ex girlfriend saw him, but she didn't stop him, In the evening, she pop Into Clifton's house, though, Clifton was not around, but she waited until he drives In, and when Clifton saw him, he asked, “what do you want In my house, Harriet?“ “Please, don't let me commit murder, leave my house” Clifton said,

“Take things easy, I have come for good, and we are going to enjoying more than ever before” Harriet said, and she smiles,

This time Is different from those times, please, go your way,” Clifton said with his eyes widening,

“My guy, bring down your voice, I don't know that you've going this far, I would have come and visit you since all this while” Harriet said,

“You are not ashamed of yourself” Clifton said, “so you can still come back and say hi to me bitch?“ he Inquired,

“Calm down, I know that I made a mistake, we can still sort things out between us,” Harriet said, and she moves closer to Clifton,

Meanwhile, Clifton was drawing back, because he doesn't want any closeness between her and Harriet,

Harriet refused to go while Clifton got another text messages l from his off and on girlfriend, that she's pregnant,
