Chapter 52

Audrey's POV

The rumbling of my stomach made me so uncomfortable that I even found it quite difficult to sit upright.

Being weak and hungry at the same time is a death sentence. I held my stomach as I groaned in pain. My eyes glanced around the place looking for what to use to suppress the hunger.

I was sprawled on the floor, defenseless, hoping that someone would come to my aid. My eyes stung painfully as I struggled to fight back the tears but they still leaked out of my eyes.

“Crying won't give me food nor strength” I whispered to myself, wiping off the stray tears that had leaked out of my eye.

I didn't have the courage to call upon the moon goddess, I even couldn’t because she had refused to answer me the time I called. Maybe she desires to see me suffer.

I was still holding my stomach tight as my intestines twisted painfully as if there were large worms in it that had begun eating up the walls of my stomach.
