Chapter 41 Feeling Broken

My chest was pounding as we approached the 5th floor of that hotel. I was quiet, as well as was Mark. I noticed that he was snickering with anger. I looked at him as if he was fuming with anger.

“Are you okay?” I couldn’t hold back, so I asked him.

“Yes, I’m okay. Thanks, you don’t have to worry. I can manage myself.”

“Okay.” That’s all I answered to him.

We are already there on the 5th floor. I’m tired when I notice that we’re on the same path.

“Wait! Are you going this way, too?”

“Yes, my detective told me the room number.” He answered me.

I said to myself, no way! Don’t let him say we are going to the same room. That means his wife is my husband’s mistress. Shit! This can’t be done. My husband’s face is thick and his wife’s. I feel like I want to explode with so much anger.

We’re in the hallway and it’s close to the room I’m going to. And we saw a housekeeping attendant enter the room that the receptionist pointed to.

“Excuse me, miss, where is the person who checked in here?”
