Chapter 36: Thirty-Six

When the system rewarded me, I took the warm water and returned to Mr. Reuben's hospital room.

Before entering my father's room, I received a message on my mobile phone saying that fifty million dollars had been transferred to my bank account.

"Why did you take so long to fetch the water? I thought I heard some commotion outside. Did something happen?" as I placed the water kettle down, my father hurriedly asked.

"I met my friend, so we chatted for a bit," I said.

Mr. Reuben nodded lightly.

"To be honest, I don't need a comprehensive check-up. I know for sure that after you treated me with the device you brought, I felt much better." Mr. Reuben pondered for a moment, then continued earnestly, "You can also see that my tumor has significantly reduced in size. This proves the effectiveness of your treatment method. I just need you to treat me a few more times, and I'll recover. So, I don't think I need to undergo any tests; it's a waste of money."
