Grayson “Abby,” I growled the way I knew she liked. Her hand tightened around me in response, and I moaned as she moved it up and down. Even over my clothes it felt amazing. I pulled up her shirt and exposed her breast. We both groaned in pleasure as I took a nipple into my mouth. “Gray…” she whispered in the sexiest way possible. I felt myself getting even harder. She sped up her hand… I was close already. I wanted to enjoy this, to enjoy her. “Stop, love,” I said, putting my hand on hers. She looked concerned. “Did I do something wrong?” She sounded so sad. I kissed her. “No, my girl. You were doing everything right. I just want us to take our time,” I leaned down and licked her nipple, receiving a moan in response. “I want to enjoy this.” I took my time undressing her, kissing each part of her body as I exposed it. She was a moaning mess by the time I was done, but was still able to whisper, “Your turn,” as she tugged at my pants. I complied and she smiled at what she saw.
Abigail One second, I was fixing my boot. The next, I was being carried off by a troll who was foolishly covering my mouth with its bare hand. I bit it hard, causing the troll to yelp and move its hand. “Help! I’m up, mmmff,” the troll covered my mouth again, this time with a glove blocking my teeth. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Cat struggling in the arms of another troll. I heard magic being fired, and knew that Aryk and Grayson were fighting the others. They didn’t take us far before Cat and I were thrown into a cart with several other humans who were tied up. A troll got in as the cart started moving and tied us up, too. “A good haul today,” the troll that had tied us up yelled to the one driving the cart. “Yeah, we got a good batch. They all look healthy, too.” The two trolls talked about us like we were fish they had just caught in the river. The trip to the fortress was only a few hours by cart. It was mid-afternoon when we arrived and were unloaded like cattle in
Grayson Finding them had been relatively easy. Getting to them had been a challenge. We snuck in under the cover of Aryk’s invisibility spell. Unfortunately, our cover was blown when I sneezed and caused a mini rock slide. One of the rocks had hit Aryk and caused him to lose focus, right as a troll patrol came around the corner. “Time for Plan B!” Thomas yelled. “Run!” Somehow we found the dungeons, and dispatched the guards with little effort. I blasted the door open and we burst inside. Rose found the girls first. She was so angry about their condition that she knocked out the teeth of the other prisoner. No one stopped her because he was still heckling the girls. He was calling one of them sneaky and telling them to put several parts of his body into their mouths. Catherine was unconscious and barely breathing. Abigail’s leg was bent at an unnatural angle, and there was something wrong with her hand. She kept holding it closed, and I couldn’t get her to open it. I picked up
Abigail After getting out of the water, Grayson helped me dry off and get dressed again. Having a broken leg and only one working hand made me feel like an invalid, but he never made me feel like a burden. He set me on a medium-sized rock while he got dressed. I closed my eyes and leaned back, enjoying the last of the day’s sunshine. “Abby?” I heard him say softly. I opened my eyes and saw him down on one knee in front of me. “Grayson?” I asked, thoroughly confused. “What are you doing?” “I’m asking you to marry me,” he said, placing something into my good hand. He looked at me, anxiously. He’s so worried I’ll say no. I opened my hand. He had given me a green rock, like he had when we were children and first told everyone we were going to marry. I felt my eyes fill with tears. “Are you sure?” I was shocked. “Abby, you are everything to me, and I don’t want to live my life without you as a part of it. I tried that for a while and it was the worst four years of my life.” I reache
Grayson Cat was healing, albeit slowly. She hadn’t been attacked physically like Abby was, but she had been affected mentally. She had nightmares every night, and would wake up screaming. Sometimes she would be shouting for Abby to be careful, or for the monsters in her head to leave them alone. Sometimes she would call out for Rose, or even her father. We did our best to comfort her, with Rose taking on most of the job. “She’s not getting better,” Rose confided one morning, about a week and a half later. “It was the worst experience of my life – and I’ve been stabbed twice,” Abby replied. “I’m sure Cat never even imagined anything that horrible before. It’s going to take some time for her to get over. We just need to be there for her the best we can.” “I wish there was more I could do to help,” Rose lamented. “You are doing so much for her just by being there,” Abby reassured her. “I would be much worse off if I didn’t have you and Grayson.” Rose seemed relieved, and did her
Abigail It took about two weeks before I was finally able to walk normally on my leg. “I think we can start moving again,” I said one morning. “Are you sure, Duchess?” Aryk asked clearly worried. “I’m not saying I’ll be fast, but I can definitely move again.” Grayson insisted we stop every hour to take a break. The second I showed any signs of being tired, he had me back in the sling on his back. “You’re being a little ridiculous,” I said one morning as he was tying me to his back. “Your leg was shattered less than a month ago, Abby,” he replied. “You’re lucky to be walking at all. You wouldn’t be able to again without my healing. I don’t want you over doing it and permanently damaging something.” “Yes, doctor,” I said, resting my head against his back. “I hope I’m not too heavy for you.” “You are lighter than Thomas’s pack,” he joked. “I tried moving that one day and almost broke my arm.” Every time he carried me, it seemed to get easier for him. He was getting stronger in
Grayson I opened my eyes the morning after our wedding and just stared at the beautiful woman sleeping next to me. She was my wife. My wife! I got another goofy grin on my face and reached out to caress her cheek. She smiled in her sleep and I sat up to look at her. Gods, she was gorgeous. Her curls were wild and loose, and I knew she was naked under that blanket. She was mine, and I couldn’t have been happier. She opened her beautiful green eyes and smiled at me. “Good morning, husband.” I leaned down and kissed her. “Mmm say that again.” “Husband…” “I love it,” I kissed her again. “And I love you, wife.” I started kissing her breasts. We heard a commotion from the main camp. It was Cat screaming, angrily, like she was about to pick a fight. I moved to get up to see what the problem was when Abby pulled me back down and into a kiss. “Ignore them,” she whispered. How could two words be so sexy? “I’m not ready to give you up yet… husband.” My hand found its way in between h
Abigail “I hate sand!” I yelled angrily, dumping out my boot for the tenth time that day. We had only been on the Sea a week and I had already had enough. “It’s in my shoes, it’s in my hair, it’s in my food! I hate it!” Grayson came over and gently brushed the sand out of my hair. “Good thing we will never live in Eswen,” he joked. “Eswen Keep is right next to the Southern Sea.” “Yes, well, I’m sure they kept it out of places it didn’t belong,” I looked around. “And that there were other things to see. This place is awful. Who would want to live here?” Grayson shook his head, “Are you okay, Wildflower?” “I’m just a little irritable, my magic man,” I said softly. I rested my forehead against his. “You calm me.” “Come here, dusukunni,” he said, pulling me into a hug. I felt myself relax. How did I spend four years without him? *** We only knew we were going west because of the sun. There were no landmarks other than water and sand. There was no life to be seen other than the occa
