CHAPTER TWELVE

              A fleeting smile comes over my lips when last night's dreams are still hovering over my mind. I saw my family, my sisters. For a second, I thought. I'm back in my old life. But it's not happening. I can never forget him. I'm doubting I'll be able to smile without him. 

      I turn on my back and freeze. I shut my eyes tightly. I open my eyes again. 

     ' Why are we sharing a bed? He didn't tell me we are sharing a bed. My toes curl, when my gaze stops on his bare chest. He's truly very handsome. His hair is covering his forehead. Reluctantly, I forward my hand. My mind is chiding me to pull it back. That's not what we've signed the contract for. I don't know how to take the next step. I have imagined a married life with nothing more than care, laughing and understanding. 

      My smile broadens when my fingers touch his sil
