CHAPTER 87 - ARTH

The sharp whine of the horses echoed through the darkness amidst the tall pine trees. Dark blood flowed on the sloped ground like a river in the mountain side. There had been a crash just a few seconds ago. After Luna had taken her first shots at the horses dragging the carriage, they stumbled hard, rolled down on the inclined, rocky ground until they hit against a huge trunk. The elegant, metal carriage gave a loud, clanging sound that pierced through Arth’s ears as it crashed.

He took care of the four riders with the help of Luna’s arrows. How he ought to be impressed of her sharp eyes and accuracy, but he couldn’t think of anything else now. His heart raced faster than any stallion—breathless, as he rushed down towards the crash. The carriage fell upside down, leaning on the dark trunk of a tree with the two horses crushed in between.
