Irina:

I sat on the windowsill, keeping my eyes on the sky above, not bothering to even turn when I heard the door open as Kai entered his bedroom.

The sill was large enough for me to sit comfortably on, and though ‘unsafe’, I didn’t care. I didn’t want to be inside the house, especially not in the same room with him.
