Chapter 45

I kept my eyes fixed on Max as he slowly made his way towards me.  Even though he was blind it seemed like he had easily honed in on my position.

"So we meet again." He said cheerfully when he finally arrived.

Amanda who was sitting on the other side of me gave Max a strange look before turning to me for an explanation.

"Later." I mumbled trying to focus on the front.

"Are you embarassed of me?" Max asked feigning hurt.  "Is it because I'm blind?"

"What are you even going on about?" I shot back at him not amused by his humor.

"I get the feeling you don't like me." Max said all the while keeping a smile on his face.  "Did I do something wrong?"

"Nope, you're imagining things."

Huffing I continued to pretend that I didn't know the annoying man that was sitting beside me.  Although I knew he meant well, by the looks that Travis was giving us it was easy to tell that he wasn't happy about how close Max was actin
