Chapter 40

The wind whistled as it picked up, a chill ran down the sailor’s body as he tightened his thick jacket around him trying to keep the cold at bay. He had a disappointed look on his face as he did not catch anything this day.

The man left home in the wee hours of the morning hoping to catch something. As they say, the early bird catches the warm but that was not the case for this man, he woke up for nothing.

He wondered what they were going to have for dinner in the next few days if things continue this way. The fish he catches, he sells to support his family and stock was running low as they eat from it as well when he doesn’t make sales.

Fog was picking up and getting thicker by the minute. The man wanted to get home quickly before things turn bad for him. And so, he steered the boat away trying to get to the harbour early.
