Chapter 37 – Grace Vultures, that’s how the desperate males acted as soon as they see a lone she-wolf rushing to cross the veil of the Run. Like a carcass in the dessert, the moment the males scent a female, the descend on her and fight to mate her. Chapter 38 – Caden Ignoring the wolves stepping forward with their intentions of helping Grace, I growl at their outstretched hands until they back away with fear. Chapter 40 – Caden The early morning sun filters in to the room, waking me from my sleep. I smile as I take a deep breath, the air being filled with the scent of lavender and mint. Chapter 41 – Grace A scrawny tawny wolf tackles Caden, his jaws snapping at the man I love but Caden manages to doge it, even manages to hold back this scrawny wolf’s face from taking a bite from him. Chapter 43 – Grace Entering the medical ward once again, I slink my way towards my room and wonder if my nurse knew I had snuck out. I soon learn that yes, she indeed knew I snuck out, as I find her waiting for me in the middle of the room with a frown on her face. “There are clean clothes in the bathroom room for you. Shower and change.” She orders, her no-nonsense attitude making me regret worrying her. I nod, slowly walking around Karina and head into the open door of the bathroom.
