Chapter 10 – Caden I watch with worry as the sky begins to brighten, realizing just how close daylight is. Amelia and I had found the river about an hour ago, walking along the stream up river in hopes of finding Grace. It seems like this petite blonde did not want to give up until we found her friend. Chapter 11 – Grace The feeling of being watched settles on my body, my steps slowing as I slowly move away from the water and off the gravel lining the river shores. I have a feeling someone is stalking me like prey and if I need to protect myself, I would rather do it on solid ground and not on gravel slick from the river water. Something inside me screams that this person is not wolf, leaving only two options – Fae or Vampire. I prefer the Fae. Chapter 12 – Caden The sounds of night animals has me waking, realizing that Amelia is wrapped around me. With a sigh, I slowly pry the she-wolf’s grip from my body and climb off the mattress to stretch and see what the sky outside looks like. Chapter 15 – Grace I groan, leaning against an oak tree as I try to think of where the hidden cave may be. An hour has already passed since I have mutilated that male who tried to rape me and I barely made it three kilometers away until the scent of dawn started blowing on the wind.
