Never Was a Kind Man

When Delta sat and waited for the man on his bed, she didn’t hold any kind of awful idea in her head. At most, Wolfram would just want to sleep. That was why, when he suddenly enveloped her with all of him, she was quite shocked. She dropped the book to the side, and it made a loud thud as if reflecting the first loud beat of her heart.

She was no stranger to being crushed this way, but this was certainly new for Wolfram, who never forced her into anything more than staying with him.

“Who are you really?”

The sting of his words made Delta’s heart stop as if it were a potent poison. The earlier shock and dread soon turned into numbness, and a smile surfaced on her soft lips. Delta, despite being pinned to the headboard by those hands on her shoulders, closed her hands and sighed in relief.
