“Something’s wrong…” Wolfram stopped walking at a clearing, only attracting Delta’s eyes on his serious face. Then he quickly pressed the scorpion against Delta’s face even if the wolf’s head was already there. “Don’t breathe—”

Thud! Children started falling down like dead flies, the dizzy ones fainting in the hold of their parents. Screams followed as the frantic mothers called out their children’s names. However, they all soon felt how their entire bodies grew heavy. One by one, they fell to the floor as they felt weakness all over.

Wolfram caught the mother with a toddler in her arms, but he already asked Delta not to take the stuffed toy off her face. He brought down the child and the mother before feeling how his body grew weak. His mind also spun as if he was quickly losing energy.
