Faith held up a turquoise blouse, inspecting the ruffles down the front. "I just don't see why I'm supposed to be nice to her when she never is to me," she said to Tracey, who inspected her own blouse from the clearance rack. "I mean if something is going on that makes her a bitch, she should see a therapist."

"And Edwin didn't give you a clue as to what it was?" Tracey met her at the mall to help her pick out a new outfit for her trip next week. Selby was at home waiting for the call to start the grill and open the wine.

"No. All he said was it wasn't his place to tell me something Cherish didn't want me to know. He just stood there with a guilty look on his face. Then, he kissed me."

Faith nodded as she slipped the top back on the rack. "He said it was to remind me of our agreement."
