Eero's perspective

On our way back to the Blood Moon Pack, I could feel Alpha Claudius staring at me, but I did not have the courage to stare back.

After arriving at the pack house, the Alpha guided me to sit on the leather couch in his room. I was expecting him to ask me questions, but nothing came out of his lips. The silence between us lingered.

My eyelids shut on their own as I could no longer bear the suffocating atmosphere.

“I'll go back to the breeder's room.” Before taking a step to leave, I was stopped by him.

“Why would you?” Alpha Claudius asked while wiping off the blood stains on my hand and face with a warm towel.

I stared at him with my mouth open. I tried hard to figure out what he was trying to imply.

“What do you mean by that? I had a long day, Alpha. I need some space. I need to take a rest. Don't you think that, after everything that happened, I deserve that?”
