Eero’s perspective

The old woman smiled at Claudius. It was more of a smirk than just a plain smile.

“Lies? I don't recall telling the Luna lies, Alpha. And even if I wanted to, I can't take back what I had told her.”

Silence once again fell among all of us.

“Claudius, let's go back home. Let's talk about this with just the two of us. You don't have to do this.”

The old woman stared at me, the curve of her lips giving me warmth.

“Luna, this isn't your fault. I've seen this exact moment happening. I knew that I'd be facing the Alpha's wrath today… that this would be the end of me.” She glanced at my belly.

“No! The Alpha's not going to kill you. M-Maybe you've seen it wrong. Your predictions can't be always accurate.” Even when Caspian tried to stop me from coming at her the second time around, I broke free from him.
