64. Arman's Crazy Thoughts

Arman’s POV

Despite my efforts to hold her, she struggled to stand up straight and said, "I—I'm okay."

She tried to move away from me as if being so close to me made her feel bad. But at that very second, she tripped and blacked out in front of me.

"Lucy!" I shook her gently and caught her fragile body.

Then her driver came up to us and said, "Sir, let's take her to the hospital."

I nodded and picked her up to put her in the back seat. I held her head in my lap and stared at her blankly.

When it came to her, all I could think about was keeping her safe and making sure she'd be okay no matter what.

When we got to the hospital, my phone rang, but I didn't answer it because I was watching my wife be taken inside.

The doctor said, "Wait here, Mr. Romano."

“Of course.” I said calmly.

And the next time my phone rang, I irritatedly answered it and exclaimed, "What?!"
