Nora knew she shouldn’t let Luca’s harsh words get to her because he was only saying those words to get her to leave him but the more that he pushed her away, the harder it was for her not to be hurt by his words, he told her to her face that she was staying around him for money and that shit had hurt so bad. For the first twenty-four hours after he woke up, he didn’t say anything to her but she didn’t mind; the minute he could talk to her, the first thing he had said to her was for her to leave. He hadn’t stopped asking her to leave every opportunity he got, that was the only conversation he had had with her since he woke up, it was as if the Luca she knew was still not back and she tried not to overthink things but with him being so indifferent and accusing her things she never once thought about made her sad.
