“I am so proud of you, Rose,”

Nora told her once she was done explaining, it was past five minutes already, She spared Luca a glance, he wasn’t looking at her. Hopefully, he would let her continue the call even though the time he gave was finished.

“Thank you, Nora, I am so happy, this is the best job I have ever had,”

Roseline went on excitedly. They were able to continue talking for another ten minutes before Nora told her she had to go after promising to call her again. She didn’t specify a day because she wasn’t so sure when Luca would let her call her again. After the call ended, she stretched out her hand and he stood up and took the phone. She hoped he wouldn’t speak about the things Roseline had said at the beginning of the call and thankfully, he didn’t.

“Would you let me call her again?”

She asked in a calm tone.

“That depends on you,”

“How so?”

She let out. She didn’t know why his answer made her mad but it did, the peace she felt from speaking to Rose flew away.
