Chapter 45 A Troublesome Phone Call

I have this habit that I always do when I find myself in a troublesome situation. And that is ignoring the problem in front of me.

I turn on my heels and pretend not to see Xander while I head for the opposite direction.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Xander pulls the back collar of my uniform and make me face him. As soon as I see his face, I can already see the frown starting to form on his forehead. “You dragged me out here and you’re just going to leave?”

“Every student for themselves.” I say it like it is supposed to be common knowledge. It only irritated Xander more.

“Seriously, what is wrong with you?” He drapes a hand over his face like he’s trying to collect himself before breathing out a heavy sigh. “Never mind. Everything is wrong with you.” He grumbles before fishing his phone out of his pocket like he is calling for someone.

“Are you saying that I am a weirdo?” I eye him carefully and wait for him to respond, but he’s too busy talking on the phone to even acknow
