Chapter 31

Elena’s POV

Having to return to work a day after the fake date with my boss all seemed to be a dream to me. I woke up that morning having cold feet to the meeting with my boss at work today, but who am I to refuse to appear at work because I am nervous to see my boss after having kissed him in front of my apartment.

The fake date had ended well the night before, and he had dropped me in front of my apartment. I was still inside the car when I saw a movement of one who seemed to be watching us from a distance, and I immediately knew that he was from my dad.

Walk me to my door baby, please. I told my boss gently, and he cast me a little confused look, and then I gave him a sign that his driver was watching us from the mirror, and he immediately acted along.

Ok baby, let’s go. He said and once again led me out of the car. He still held unto my hand and led me gently to my door, and once we were there, we both paused.
