Chapter:-10

It starts the way all of Zack start — with Seth at the forefront of things, acting as the catalyst.

In this situation, specifically, it starts when Seth asks loudly, in front of everybody, at the biweekly sibling dinner Zack hosts, “So when are you going to make an honest man out of our Zack?”

Zack stills where he is reaching out to pass the plate of stir-fry eggplants to Seth to stop him from continuing to whine over how they’ve set the table up with his favourite dish the furthest away from him.

Rose, Seth sitter ends up taking the plate over from Seth, smiling as she shakes her head. “Don’t tease him, Seth,” she chides gently.

“It’s not like that,” Seth tells Rose, scowling.

It’s not the first time Seth has made similar suggestions, but it’s one thing to ignore Rose jesting when it’s just between them, and another when they’re not the only ones present, and Seth words could be taken the wrong way.
