Chapter Ten: Old Friends and an Orphanage

Imogen was absently sketching a mountain landscape in colored pencils while singing under breath when she heard a knock on the door of her office.

It was a lovely space decorated in a feminine, modern and minimalist style with a glass wall facing the rest of the office as well as floor-to-ceiling windows. She decorated the room in cream with splashes of lilac and blue. There were always fresh flowers like roses or hydrangeas in the vases, thanks to Kieran. 

As the Head of Marketing of her mother's successful toy company, she was usually swamped with back to back meetings. The last Friday of the afternoon was always hectic and busy. She didn't find it unusual when she found out that her schedule for this afternoon was empty. It was usually packed to the gills but it was not completely out of the ordinary.
