We slowly took our hands off each other as Laura’s question still lingered, I thought deep for a response, nothing seem to come to mind the more I look into it.

Why would we want to hold hands in the first place? that question can explain the look on Laura's face.

I turned to Abigail to speak up since he was the one who spoke. He too was clueless like I was because nothing that I thought of could match the response, the worst part was that Abigail was still in the room.

The only thing I could do was to just come clean with the entire situation to avoid things getting even more messy than it was already.
