Luca's eyes could not leave the side of the ballroom where Carnation was. He saw how the expression on her face changed when Samantha announced about him and Tilaine. He gave her a friendly smile, but she frowned even more. She took a goblet of wine from the tray of a passing waiter. She drank the entire contents of the glass she was holding all at once. He waited for Carnation to look at him again, but she didn't; she's avoiding their side.

Damn. She tells him all the time that she doesn't care about him, but Carnation acts otherwise. Why can't she just be honest with him about how she feels? That's all he's waiting for, her confession, and Luca will do anything for her.

"Is that her?" Tilaine asked curiously looking at Carnation.
